Development Status

The brochure refers to the project as “in development”, so I thought I’d elaborate on that.

I would say that writing on the first edition is about 70% complete, while work on art beyond the cover is about to begin once I finalize concepting and art direction.

I anticipate that I’ll pretty much wrap up writing by the end of the year, though that’s hard to say for certain given my work patterns.

My initial plans for art call for around 30 pieces, which might be a bit ambitious, so we’ll see how it goes. The art commissioning process will likely be the longest part of development, and I hope it will wrap up before the end of 2024.

I’ve also just referred to a first edition. What’s that about? In the hope of reducing scope creep, I’ve narrowed the content of the project to just what is needed to establish the setting as a whole. While that means I’ll actually get content out in a (somewhat) reasonable amount of time, I won’t be able to tell you quite as much about Sigrum as I’d like to.

Since this is my studio and I get to make the rules, I’ve decided to that these additional sections (currently the CRS, general culture in the system, and the Agi are topics I have in mind) will come as additions to the base text as I produce them. That means that people who already own the book will get them for free as additional post-release content. I don’t want to close the door on small price bumps on these expanded versions just yet, but I don’t currently think they will bring an price increases with them.

That’s about it for now, thanks for checking out my work!
